Why Didn't Treyvon Martin Run Home?

by Paul Siciliano

Of course, we will never know the answer to this question because Martin is dead.  There are some say the confrontation with Zimmerman started while he was heading for home.  I don't believe that - I think he was trying to lose Zimmerman before going home so Zimmerman would not know where he lives.  If you have some "creepy ass cracker" following you for no reason you may not want him to know where you live.

If you think that is improbable, let's go to what George Zimmerman told the non-emergency dispatcher that night (transcript):

 Dispatcher:  What's your apartment number?
Zimmerman:  It's a home, it's 1950, oh crap I don't want to give it all out, I don't know where the kid is.

Zimmerman believes he messed up in saying his address for fear that Martin would find out where he lives.  Why can't Martin have that same fear?
