1992 Song of the Year - "Love That's Mine" by Karyn White

by Paul Siciliano

The love affair with Karyn White continued the year I entered college.  This song by Karyn White marks a first for my award - "Love That's Mine" was the first song ever awarded the Song of the Year that was not commercially released.  Thus, there is no video.

The song was the final dance track on Ritual of Love before the album goes to a more R&B side, which White does rather well.  She is still a better dance singer.  And proof of it is that I will embed "The Way You Love Me".  For some reason this video cracks me up.  White is some faghag being pursued by a lover.  The dancing with the hydrant is awesome.  I wonder if the guys' hair is wet or it's just gheri curl juice.
