By 1997, I had graduated college and I started going clubbing before I made my next career step. The dance music in the late 1990s was awesome - from the likes of Ultra Nate, Sandy B, Faithless, Sneaker Pimps, Crystal Water - and on and on. My first club favorite was Deborah Cox's "Things Just Ain't the Same"
Cox would end up being one of the biggest dance music performers of this time. Interestingly, she is also known for having the longest #1 on the R&B charts with "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here". It was #1 for 14 weeks a record she held for 8 years.
The video is the slower version of "Things Just Ain't the Same" but it still sounds awesome.
