dynasty Episode 110 - The Crash
Is there any guess where Krystle took Kristina - La Mirage, of course. I am surprised that Claudia even bothered to rent out Krystle's old suite. Well, to be honest, this does look like a different, and better, room. Blake, as always, gives Krystle a few days to come to her senses. Blake cannot accept that he is at fault or that he should just admit Krystle is just as innocent as he is. Stubborn old man.
It also does not help that Blake is always with Lady Ashley. It has been mentioned numerous times people but Ali MacGraw is just horrible. From the way she holds her purse to the way she inclines her head, Ali MacGraw makes Lady Ashley unbearable. And, what makes it more unbelievable is that these men are falling over her. Wait, where was I. Oh yes, Blake keeps running into Lady Ashley which would make sense since they are planning a party for Dominique's release from the hospital. Blake does brush Ashley's off with respect to a meal, which she immediately recognizes. Maybe Ashley should respect Blake's love for Krystle. And, of course, you need the one scene where Blake thanks Ashley for her support of Dominique and Krystle just happens to enter as Blake is holding Ashley's hands. Blake calls out to Krystle to stop when she turns away but he does not give chase. Way to go, Blake.
Meanwhile, Krystle's supposed love interest Daniel is in a Paraguayan prison. Rock Hudson is back but his lines are limited and his clothing is two sizes to big. Dex and Daniel's assistant come up with a plan to rescue Daniel. Alexis does not want Dex to go and thinks sex will stop him. That fails. Apparently, to be in the Paraguayan military you need to be obese and incompetent. Oh, you also have to rudimentary Spanish skills to bark insults at gringos. There is no question that Dex rescues Daniel.
Back in Denver, Daniel goes to Krystle and believes he has his opportunity with her since she is now living at La Mirage. Daniel should have asked Dr. Toscani how available Krystle was when she left Blake. Or, he could have asked Matthew since he is supposedly dead somewhere there in South America. Krystle rejects Daniel and forgets to mention that Sammy Jo is his daughter. When Krystle casually mentions to Blake that Daniel is back and has seen her, Blake is determined to resolve things with Daniel once and for all.
Unlike Fallon, Claudia only needs to go to Mexico to get a quickie divorce. And, she doesn't need the three day wait. Claudia is finally convinced to get the divorce when she sees Luke and Steven having lunch. This has to be the most painful divorce to watch in the history of failed relationships. Why is this so tortured? Steven is gay and is involved with a man, and yet the parties involved need more time to end the relationship. The relationship is over.
Even though Adam is a sociopathic predator, at least he is correct in that Claudia needs to get the divorce. Claudia flies down to Mexico and has a sleepless night interrupted by Adam. So, what does Claudia do, she asks Adam to make love to her. Seriously?!? Even better, the next morning, Claudia proclaims that Adam makes her feel a way no other man has ever made her. I would assume that feeling is dirty, but I am sure I am wrong as Claudia has now found her soul mate.
Everyone tries to give Steven advice about his divorce. Blake wants Steven to stop Claudia but Steven checks him by reminding Blake of his promise to support his relationship with Luke (then why is the divorce such a big deal). Jeff feels Steven's pain of having Adam move in on his woman. At least Luke will not have to worry about Adam wanting him. Or, will he? Alexis supports the move only because she needs to one up Blake in supporting Steven and Luke. Are you sure you want to be a part of this family Luke?
Amanda continues to give her fiance the cold shoulder and it is starting to wear Prince Michael down. Everyone knows that Amanda is in love with Dex, I am sorry a phantom lover, but she needs to face that he will never be with her. Amanda even turns down Michael's sexual advance since that is not part of the bargain. Wait, didn't Amanda sleep with Michael in Acapulco? Anyway, at Dominique's party, Amanda's cold shoulder act is too much for Michael who calls off the engagement. Blake wants to speak to Amanda but Krystle stops him. Besides, Blake was never for the wedding in the first place.
Oh, in our moment of grossness, Jeff keeps pursuing Lady Ashley. He even begins to be romantic with her in Ashley's suite with all of these pictures of Blake around the room. That is kind of creepy to me.
Daniel refuses to return Blake's call so Blake can resolve matters with Daniel. Blake does get a hold of Daniel but Daniel is on his way to the airport. No problem, Blake is waiting for Daniel in his plane and is even willing to fly where Daniel is going just to resolve matters. Being the mature adults that they are, the two resolve matters by fighting and knocking out the pilot. That's great because now the plane is about to crash land in the mountains. Captains of industry behaving badly!
Memorable Dialogue
Alexis: Mr. Fuller, I have a reputation that is unpredictable, devious, and manipulative. I cherish that reputation because it keeps my enemies off guard.
Michael [to Amanda]: You'll love winters in Moldavia. They are cold as ice, just like you.
Michael: My apologies Mrs. Dexter. You prepared a wonderful meal and I'm afraid I've rather spoiled it.
Alexis: Michael, I don't prepare meals, I simply order them.
Steven: She's [Claudia] made her own bed, she can lie in it, even if Adam is lying with her.
