dynasty Episode 161 - A Love Remembered Part 2
Alexis will not be able to keep up this charade for long, especially with Krystle and Dex in Singapore. Mind you, Singapore is not that big and it should not be hard for the two to track down Blake and Alexis. But, we still need to drag it out. Besides, we get some touching scenes of Alexis telling Blake about the children. Well, not all the children. She fails to mention Amanda (is she and Michael still in that secluded cabin?) and that Steven is gay. In all fairness, Steven may not be gay for much longer (see below). We also see Alexis paint a portrait of Blake. You remember what happened to Alexis's last portrait of Blake? Yes, Krystle destroyed it after the studio fight. Ahh, good memories.
It does not take much effort for Krystle to learn that Alexis had checked Blake out of the hospital even if she is not able to tell the doctor that she is actually Mrs. Carrington because the doctor is busy and Krystle is a little slow. Dex, for some strange reason, believes that Blake and Alexis have fallen back in love. Krystle, and anyone else with common sense, finds this to be ridiculous. Heck, Dex just wants to give up and return to Denver, but Krystle finally decides to hire a private investigator to track them down. Despite the investigator saying it could take a while, he quickly learns of a rich woman from Colorado who rented a villa outside of Singapore. See, it wasn't that hard.
Back in Denver, Dominique returns to the mansion to be greeted by a visitor - Mr. Tilden. Is he still trying to muscle his way into Dominique's career. It's not like she is Madonna or Michael Jackson? Who knew that the loungey, jazz sound was that popular? Mr. Tilden warns Dominique that "his people" are not thrilled that she bought the studio. We all know what is going to happen. They are going to rough her up. Or at least try. Fortunately for Dominique (and a romance story line), Nick arrives just in time to help trash the studio and scare off the two men. Nick brings Dominique back to the mansion and he gets as close as the door to her room. He asks if he should stay but Dominique reluctantly says no. Good, I was waiting for that cliche of let's make love after you save me. Dominique needs to stop playing hard to get.
Since everyone is getting along so well, let's drop in on Steven, Sammy Jo and Clay. The softer Steven believes Sammy Jo when she tells him that she was never pregnant but believed she was. Sammy Jo returns from the hospital and does not even bother to tell Clay that she was leaving early. There is a good reason for that - Sammy Jo wants an annulment. Clay only married her because he believed she was pregnant, not because he loved her. Clay messed up by using the past tense when he claimed that he loved Sammy Jo. Well, that was a match made in heaven.
At least Danny is doing better. His drawings are happier with a smiling sun and vibrant colors. Steven attributes it to Danny spending more time with Sammy Jo. In fact, Steven wants the three of them to spend more time together. And, this is just not for Danny, but for Steven also. He wants to do it for the family he has always desired. Oh gee, he is going to be quasi-straight again.
As with the previous episode, not much is going on action-wise so let's return to the happenings in Singapore. Krystle tracks down Alexis and barges her way through the villa (thank God for shoulder pads) and demands to know where Blake is. Since Blake was going for a walk, Alexis tries to play it off that Blake was not there, but he returns during the conversation. Krystle embraces Blake and keeps telling him that it is her, but Blake has no memories of Krystle or Kristina. Krystle tells him to look at his wallet since he always keeps a picture of the two (Alexis had torn it up) but there is no picture. You would think that Blake would have noticed it the last few days if it was.
Distraught over the rejection, Krystle leaves. She cannot leave soon enough but is stuck while her driver changes a tire. Back in the villa, Blake wants some answers and Alexis knows it is time to bite the bullet and begins to tell the truth - about the divorce, Krystle, etc. The stress jolts Blake to getting his memory back. He runs out and calls out for Krystle who is now driving down the driveway. Hearing Blake call her name, she gets out of the car and the two run towards one another. With the Dynasty theme playing, the two profess their love for one another and embrace (what no kiss). Alexis looks on with the memories of the last few days.
Memorable Dialogue
Alexis: Blake, if anything happens to change things. . . tomorrow, or the day after, or the day after that, nothing is going to erase the joy we've shared.
Blake: What are you talking about anyway. Nothing is ever going to change between us.
Alexis: Well, Krystle, what are you doing here?
Alexis: Yes it's true. I rented this house because I want to be alone. I still do, so I would like you to leave.
Blake: Alexis, we've never been anything but honest with each other.
